What we offer Naspir communities

Our website is structured so that it can support communities of Naspir members in a number of ways:

Free facilities. Naspir membership and use of its facilities is free: our website costs are covered by member donations.

Minimal administrative effort. As each community’s facilities are maintained as part of the larger Naspir site, duplication of administrative effort is eliminated.

Resources. The site can host extensive resources for each community. Clicking on the name of one of those groups takes you to a page which is divided into categories of resources.

Links. The community can be allocated its own Links categories.

Forum. The community can have its own fully-featured forum moderated by its own members as well as the Naspir administrators.

Events calendar. The community can have its own entries in the events calendar.

Individually-customised access. Members of the community can customise their access to the site in numerous ways to focus on their own group, such as designating particular forums or topics within forums as their favourites.

Bottom-up networks. Using the Community Builder function of the site, members of the community can use their ‘Connections’ option to develop their own unique network of members within Naspir.

Online messaging. Community members engaged in rapid exchanges can do so via our online messaging facility rather than by the more cumbersome method of individual emails.

Easy addition of new material. Community members can be authorised to suggest and edit content for their resources and links categories. Particular community members can be granted administrator rights to add and amend categories of resources and links.

Flexibility. Communities can be created and adapted with ease.

This extensive range of features allows us to showcase the work of the community in a supportive environment.
